Do you need academic help? Tutoring Beyond Borders offers free tutoring services for students in Grades 9-12. Currently, we only operate in Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas.

As a charity, TBB tries to help as many students as possible. In a perfect world, we would be able to help every student who applies, but our goal is to affect change on those who need the most help. As a result, we offer two types of tutoring programs: our regular one-on-one tutoring sessions that run year-round and our semi-annual Exam Cram to help students study for exams.

ONE-ON-ONE TUTORING

TBB Tutor Helping a Student with Homework

This is our flagship program that runs throughout the year. A Gr. 9-12 student is matched up with one of our volunteer tutors and lessons take place in a public venue (libraries, cafes, college campus, etc.). Each student is limited to one tutor, one subject and one hour of tutoring per week.

EXAM CRAM

TBB Tutor Helping a Student with Homework

Apart from helping students one-on-one, TBB holds Exam Crams at the end of every high school semester (January and June) to help Grades 9-12 students with last-minute exam review. It’s our biggest event, and we’ve partnered with the University of Waterloo to hold it on their campus.
