EXECUTIVE TEAM

Brenda founded TBB in 2010 when she was a 1st year Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Waterloo, where she obtained her PhD in Biology (Nanotechnology) in 2017. As President & CEO, Brenda oversees all aspects of the charity and provides strategic leadership to the organization.

Craig is an avid supporter of continuing education and professional development. He has worked in the public service sector for decades while living in various provinces, and now owns his own business in Waterloo. As COO, Craig oversees the application and match-up process for all tutors and students.

Jenny is a seasoned entrepreneur with a lifetime of business experience under her belt. Apart from serving on the Board of Directors, Jenny is also in charge of all the finances for TBB, including: scholarships, donations and sponsorships, as well as budgeting for events and projects.

Jobanjot is a passionate volunteer and experienced athlete. He received his BMath from the University of Waterloo with a joint honours in Computer Science and Actuarial Science. As CIO, he is responsible for improving the efficiency of TBB by developing and optimizing programs that automate our internal processes.

Deana is passionate about the education in her home community. She received her BSc in Biology from the University of Waterloo and obtained a post-graduate certificate in Environmental Engineering Applications from Conestoga College. As CRO, she studies our services and impact while providing insight on prioritized goals.

Originally from British Columbia, Heidi moved to Ontario to study Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. Having joined TBB in 2013, Heidi currently serves as Chief Analytics Officer to gather statistics on students, volunteers, and our community impact. Heidi strongly believes that everyone should have equal access to academic resources.
